So, if you don't know I recently gave birth to twin boys, on top of already having a toddler 😅 my life gets pretty crazy and very, very tiring. So last night I didn't get a wink of sleep well maybe like 4 hours, still not very much, so I'm definitely feeling it this morning. Before I started my keto journey ( and my pregnancy)I drank lots of sugary energy drinks, cringe worthy I know. So to give into my craving, guilt free, I found these awesome drinks called Bang, they're literally my lifesaver. They're 0 carb and sugar free and that's essential for this keto momma, my other half actually introduced me to them, and I've been hooked ( that's not a very good way to put it) ever since. I also drink my own version of bullet proof coffee, which is black coffee a little heavy cream, a dash of cinnamon and coconut oil, definitely another good kick start to get your morning going. Hopefully my ample amounts of caffeine will help me function today, wish me luck 😅

Low carb pizza
So I bet you never guessed you could eat pizza on a low carb diet, well you guessed wrong! I got the idea when the rest of my family was enjoying some pizza from a local pizza restaurant and I'm just sitting there in agony, picturing myself tasting all that greasy goodness. Man oh man is this an easy recipe too, it's takes about 25 mins total from preparation to cooking, and you load on whatever toppings you choose ( mine are all low carb options) so let's get to the recipe!
2c. Mozzarella cheese
1/4c. Grates Parmesan cheese
1tsp. Garlic powder
2 eggs
Preheat your oven to 350° mix all the ingredients together in one bowl, take the dough and put on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or tin foil that's sprayed with cooking spray and spread dough into a thin layer evenly. Take whatever toppings you're going to use ( I used pepperoni and mushrooms) and spread evenly across the dough. So you want to bake it for about 20 minutes or until it's golden.
You say potatoes I say cauliflower
So you've probably heard of this new "fad diet" called the Keto diet, and you're probably wondering what exactly it is, am I right? Well for starters you can eat bacon! That's what got me interested, a diet I could eat bacon on, who could go wrong with that
So essentially the Keto diet ( I think of it as a lifestyle now) is a high fat, moderate protein and low carb diet. It puts your body into a state called ketosis, where it starts burning your fat for energy and it typically makes you lose weight pretty fast. So here on my blog I'm going to be sharing my journey, along with the recipes I've tried and created along the way.
